July 23: Celebrating 100 Years: Orange County Public Library opens at the Museum.

July 30: Come see Almost Andy performed by local Art Fettig. This skit showcases North Carolina native Andy Griffith. Live Comedy perfomances at 6:30 and 7:30. Each performance is 30 minutes. Photo opportunities start at 6-6:30; 7:00-7:30; and 8:00-8:30.

Last Fridays

August 27: Join us for BBQ at the Big Barn in Daniel Boone Village. Co-sponsored with the Daniel Boone Merchants and the Raceway Association.

September 24: Strike up the Band! Visit the Hillsborough Presbyterian Church to listen to the Community Band playing.

All Last Friday events are free and open to the public from 6 to 9pm.

Family Fun Days

August 14: Make sure to wear your walking shoes and participate in the Round Hillsborough scavenger hunt. Come to the Museum and pick up scavenger hunt sheets, all based from Art Fettig’s Round Hillsborough book. Fill out the sheet and receive a prize.

September 11: Take a step back in time and come enjoy Colonial Kids day. Come to the Museum and the Burwell School Historic Site to have fun demonstrations throughout the day, from 11-4.

August 6: Join us at "Cruise In" for hot dog from 5-8pm in Daniel Boone Parking Lot.

August 28: Exhibit at Speedway Event, all day.

August 29: James Freeland and Daniel Boone in its Heyday, 3 pm at Big Barn. We are currently seeking people with photos, video clips and special memories they are willing to share on the 29th.
