Sunday 1 p.m.-4p.m.
The museum is closed Mondays, New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Please call the Museum or visit our Facebook to learn about holiday and inclement weather closings.

Admission
General admission to the Orange County Historical Museum is free of charge. For information on charge for school groups or special programs, see the Education page.

Driving Directions
The Orange County Historical Museum is located at 201 North Churton Street, at the northwest corner of Churton and Tryon streets, in downtown Historic Hillsborough.
From the West: Take I-85 north and take Exit #164. Turn left at the light and proceed 1 mile through the commercial district. Once you cross the bridge into the Historic District, proceed to the fourth stoplight. The museum is on the left past the light.
From the East (Raleigh, South Durham): Take I-40 and take Exit #261. Turn right at the end of the ramp and drive approx. 2 miles through the commercial district. Follow directions above.
From the South (Chapel Hill area): Take NC-86 (M.L.K. Blvd) north to I-40. Go west on I-40 and take Exit #261. Turn right at the end of the ramp and drive approx. 2 miles through the commercial district. Follow directions above.
From the Northeast (Petersburg, North Durham): Take I-85 south and take Exit #164. Turn right at the light and proceed 1 mile through the commercial district. Follow directions above.
From the North (Cedar Grove, Danville VA): Take NC-86 south to Hillsborough. The museum will be on the right side at the second stoplight inside the Historic District.

Parking
Off-Street Parking: 3-hour parking is available in the town parking lot in the 100 block of Churton St., between the Mercantile Center and the police station. Free parking is also available in the Eno River parking garage off Nash & Kollock Street.
Street Parking: No-limit parking is available on both side of West Tryon St. past the Presbyterian Church.
Bus Parking: Call in advance for information.
